ONE-DAY SYMPOSIUM ON BUILDING PEACEFUL AND INCLUSIVE SOCIETIES

On June 3, 2025, the Department of Psychology successfully organized a distinguished one-day symposium titled “Building Peaceful and Inclusive Societies: Exploring the Role of Social Sciences in Nation Building” expertly coordinated by Dr. Syeda Rubab Aftab. The event commenced with a warm welcome note by Prof. Dr. Shazia Khalid, Head of Department, who emphasized the importance of social sciences in understanding societal dynamics and resolving conflicts to foster inclusive and resilient communities.

The symposium concluded with a shield distribution ceremony and remarks from Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Anila Kamal, Vice Chancellor of Rawalpindi Women University. She emphasized the pivotal role of social sciences in nation-building and called for continued collaboration to translate the symposium’s insights into policies and practices.
