The 5th International Conference of the PNQAHE was held from April 14 to 16, 2025, at Forman Christian College University, Lahore. The 2025 Conference, themed "Stakeholders Engagement in QA Processes", brought together national and international QA experts, academic professionals and policymakers.
The NUMS became a Full Member of the PNQAHE on February 24, 2022 which reflects its commitment to promoting and implementing quality assurance practices at NUMS. Air Cdre (Retd) Muhammad Ismail, Consultant QA at NUMS, is also a Member of PNQAHE Executive Committee, further strengthening NUMS' role within the network. NUMS maintained a strong presence at the Conference through multiple activities:
NUMS stall attracted a wide range of participants, including national and international delegates who were provided the brochures/flyers showcasing different features of NUMS, “Lifestyle Medicine” and “Happiest Healthiest You”. Besides, some issues of NUMS Journal “Life & Science” were displayed at the stall and NUMS promotional video was played on the laptop.
Besides, a large number of students, faculty members and administrative staff from a large number of national universities and colleges visited NUMS Stall. Following international delegates visited NUMS Stall at the Conference venue and interacted with the NUMS staff:

A noteworthy highlight for the NUMS was a paper presentation delivered by Air Cdre (Retd) Muhammad Ismail, Consultant QA, NUMS on April 15, 2025. The title of his paper was “The Role of Alumni Engagement for Higher Education Quality Assurance”. His presentation was highly appreciated and earned Second Position among the papers presented in all the parallel sessions of the Conference.
Key Outcomes included the NUMS Branding as Sponsor, Increased Visibility of NUMS, Positive Impact on NUMS’ Yearly Progress Report and THE Impact Ranking and Knowledge Sharing and Establishing New Liaisons at International Level wherein Prof. Dr. Selva Staub, Mr. Jakub Grodecki, Dr Alaa Garad and Mr. Maqbool Khan of PAF-IAST consented to explore the areas of collaboration with NUMS.
QA Dte expresses its gratitude to the NUMS senior management for sponsoring an important International Conference with the financial support demonstrating its all-out resolve for the cause of quality assurance in higher education at NUMS and national level. This generous initiative of NUMS’ management was thankfully acknowledged by the Conference organizers at multiple occasions during the Conference. Furthermore, QA Dte Team is indebted to Director of Administration Dte and Public Affairs Dte, Brig Shahid Sultan and the staff of both the directorates for providing unconditional support in providing the marketing material for setting up the stall. The dedication and efforts of the QA Team members for setting-up and efficiently manning the stall for three days is appreciated.
