ART COMPETITION

On October 22^nd, 2024, the Directorate of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the NUMS Art and Media Society (NAMS), organized an art competition featuring two main themes: “رہبر ترقّى و کمال” and “March 23^rd.” The competition encouraged students and faculty members to express their artistic talents and creativity. “رہبرِ ترقّى و کمال” serves as the new primary motto and tagline of NUMS, capturing the university’s vision and mission along with its main logo. The theme of “March 23^rd” is a significant event of “March 23^rd” and its connection to the NUMS. The participants created their paintings and documentaries and captured photos of Pakistan based on the above-mentioned themes.

The festival began with the recitation of The Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem. Maj Gen Farrukh Saeed, HI(M), (Retd) Pro VC (Academics) was the Executive Guest. Director Clinical Academics, Prof. Dr. Aamir Shahzad, NUMS, Ms. Zeenat Rasool, faculty of AM College, Assistant Professors Dr. Syed Babar Jamal and Dr. Abdul Qadar, graced the event as judges and praised the students’ great potential and talent displayed during the event. Participants from the PWD campus and AFPGMI, Rawalpindi, also attended. The events included a display of documentaries, paintings, and photographs. The students impressed the audience with their creativity and talent and received support and praise from their instructors and guests.

Students who got 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd positions got cash prizes and certificates for their efforts and display of creativity. Finally, a group photo marked the conclusion of the event.
