THE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY FOR PHASE III OF THE PRIME MINISTER’S LAPTOP SCHEME

The Distribution Ceremony for Phase III of the Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme, held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the PWD Campus of the National University of Medical Sciences from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., was a resounding success. The primary aim of the event was the distribution of laptops to deserving students based on their academic merit.

 

Ms. Bareera Asim, the Manager of Student Affairs and the designated focal person for Phase III, extended a warm welcome to the enthusiastic students from the Armed Force Post Graduate Medical Institute and PWD Campus.

 

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr. Muhammad Waheed Rashid, a distinguished lecturer of Islamic Studies in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, followed by the National Anthem.

 

Brig. Muhammad Asif Chattha (Retired), Director of Student Affairs, delivered an engaging and inspiring address that injected a profound sense of enthusiasm and excitement into the entire event.

 

Mr. Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Deputy Director of HEC and the head of the scheme, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He provided an overview of the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme Phase III and encouraged students to leverage the power of technology for their educational journey.

 

At 10:30 a.m., the distribution of laptops to the students commenced, with a total of 89 laptops being distributed to selected students from the National University of Medical Sciences. The selection was purely based on merit, recognizing the students' hard work and untiring commitment to academic excellence, as evidenced by the rigorous evaluation conducted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). In conclusion, the Chief Guest congratulated the selected students and wished them the best of luck for the future.

 

The ceremony concluded successfully, acknowledging the relentless efforts of the students and their unwavering commitment to education. The event not only facilitated the distribution of laptops but also acted as a catalyst for the promotion of educational excellence and the empowerment of young minds.

 

At the conclusion, the Director of Student Affairs expressed gratitude to the distinguished Chief Guest, Mr. Syed Qaim Ali Shah, for sparing his valuable time and making invaluable contributions to the success of the event. He also thanked all the participants, volunteers, and event organizers for arranging the ceremony in a befitting manner.
