AWARENESS SEMINAR ON YOUM-E-TAHAFFUZ NAMOOS-E-RISALAT (PBUH)

On the 15th of March 2024, the Department of Student Affairs organized an awareness seminar on the theme of "Youm-e-Tahaffuz Namoos-e-Risalat (PBUH)" in line with the directive set forth by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The event was attended by senior faculty members, Deans, HoDs, staff, and students.

 

The seminar commenced with reciting the Holy Quran and the National Anthem. Mr. Waheed Rashid, a Lecturer from the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, delivered an in-depth lecture on the subject's significance. He contextualized the challenge of social media and suggested measures to curb this trend. He also discussed the corrective measures that should be taken to eliminate this menace from our society and social media. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of responsible online behavior and the consequences of hate speech and blasphemy.

 

The closing remarks were given by Dr. Azam Chaudhry, Dean of Social Sciences and Humanities, who emphasized the importance of the subject.
