AWARENESS SESSION ON REVIEW OF INSTITUTIONAL PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATION (RIPE)

The Quality Assurance (QA) Directorate of NUMS organized an awareness session on Review of Institutional Performance and Evaluation (RIPE) at Army Medical College, Rawalpindi on July 5, 2024. The event aimed to familiarize participants with the latest quality assurance framework developed by the Quality Assurance Agency of Higher Education Commission (HEC) in collaboration with Quality Assurance Agency, UK and the British Council.

 

Key stakeholders including Deans, Heads of NUMS Directorates & Departments and top management of Army Medical College attended the session. Pro Vice Chancellor (Acad) Maj Gen Farrukh Saeed HI(M), (Retd), and Principal/Dean Army Medical College Maj Gen Suhail Amin HI(M) graced the session with their presence. Both general officers were very kind to sit in the whole session. This session could be ranked most beneficial as it was attended by the top academic and administrative leadership.

 

Air Cdre Muhammad Ismail (SI), Retd, delivered the presentation on the subject, providing a background on the purpose of the orientation. He comprehensively explained the RIPE standards, expectations, Expectation Outcome indicators (EOIs) and Evidences required to meet the expectations. The presentation sparked significant interest and interaction from the participants who posed numerous queries/questions.

 

The session concluded with a productive Q&A segment, during which Air Cdre Muhammad Ismail (SI), (Retd) expressed gratitude to the general officers and the other participants for their esteemed presence and support in implementing the new quality assurance framework at NUMS. He also thanked all participants for their enthusiastic engagement. Both the general officers also responded to queries during the session to further explain the requirements of preparation for conduct of the RIPE at NUMS.

 

The event culminated with a group photo of the NUMS participants, marking a successful and impactful awareness about RIPE at NUMS.
