PhD Pharmacology

Introduction:

PhD program in Pharmacology trains students with the necessary skills to study and research in the field of Pharmacology, linking together with a wide variety of other disciplines that make up modern biomedical science. This degree offers career in testing new drugs, investigating the effects of drugs or other substances on biological processes and organisms, developing medical devices and create healthrelated programs to improve health outcomes in the community,.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • MBBS or equivalent with First Division in the Annual System/ CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in the Semester System         OR

MPhil/ FCPS or equivalent degrees in relevant discipline after MBBS First Division in the Annual System/ CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in the Semester System.

  • BDS/Non-MBBS with sixteen years of education can apply for Molecular Medicine only.
  • Valid registration with regulatory body.
  • University entry test with minimum 70% qualifying score.
  • Each applicant will submit an Academic Statement of Purpose (ASOP)*.
  • NUMS interview.

  •   Word limit.

Approximately 800 to 1000 words (12-point font)

  • It should have four sections, though they don’t need to be clearly defined as sections in the document:
    • Academic & Professional Preparation
    • Focused Interest in the Field
    • Career plans upon completion of the program
    • Any relevant strengths or weaknesses in background or ability to carry out professional responsibilities.
