NUMS is one of the 13 Qualification Awarding Bodies (QAB) of National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) of Pakistan. As such it is authorized to issue
qualifications in vocational training throughout the country. These Certificates are recognized locally and internationally as well.

Care Worker/Assistant comes under NAVTTC purview and NUMS is the only QAB besides NAVTTC, which can certify these courses in Pakistan.
Recently, Government of Pakistan in collaboration with NAVTTC has launched various courses under the Prime Minister Youth Skills Development Program (PMYSDP). Care Worker course is one such course, for which NUMS intends to conduct and certify.

NUMS has considerable experience of Competency based trainings on the Vocational training paradigm, in training paramedics for past 3 years. However due to legal requirements of the country, these courses are accredited with Allied Health Professional Council of Pakistan (AHPC) rather than with NAVTTC. 11 NAHCP courses for 2 years diploma programs have been implemented since 2022 based on Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBT&A) model. NUMS is conducting competency based training under NAVTTC 8 discipline. In this course 31 professionals have acquired the status of NACTTC qualified Trainers and Assessors.
