The mission of this program is to advance the critical thinking and technical skills essential for success in industrial, health, agriculture and food biotechnology.

The vision behind the post-graduate program in Biotechnology is to produce competent Biotechnologists who can employ quality processes and applications, which will profoundly influence the existing paradigm of agricultural, industrial, healthcare, and environmental Biotechnology by providing a sustainable competitive edge to the society. The faculty members at the Department of Biological Sciences, having obtained Ph.D. and post-Ph.D. experience from various technologically advanced countries of the world possess diverse research and teaching expertise. This diverse skill set of highly competent faculty members will provide Biotechnology Educational Program with impetus to generate a quality workforce. The post-graduate program will also create awareness about the potential of Biotechnology with economical and socio-ethical implications. Moreover, this program is designed to instill the spirit of innovation and creativity in young minds with sound research aptitude. • Sixteen years of education in relevant disciplines of Biological Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Zoology, Microbiology, DVM, Medical Lab Technology, Pharm D and any other discipline as decided by university admission committee) in the relevant discipline from HEC recognized institute
• NUMS entry test with minimum 50% score
