Master of Science in Nursing

Introduction:

A master of science in nursing is considered a mandatory nursing degree to meet the current challenging contemporary nursing and health care system. Master of Nursing has started with a vision to empower nurses with academic knowledge and skills to meet upcoming challenges and changes in the healthcare system. The MSN program aims to develop highly competent, skillful, and proficient nurse educators and practitioners.

Admission Criteria/Eligibility:

Qualification:

Category - I

  • 10 Years schooling (Matric/FA/F.Sc.)
  • 03 Years Diploma in Nursing
  • 01 Year Diploma in Midwifery or any Post Basic Specialty diploma registered with PNC.
  • 01 Year experience as RN for admission in Post RN BSN/BSM Degree.
  • 02 Years Post RN BSN/BSM Degree program as specified by PNC and HEC vide Notification No. 8(61)/A&A/2018/HEC/5799, dated 26.04.2018 and registered with PNC.
  • 01 Year experience as RN after Post RN BSN (clinical includes inpatient and outpatient in primary and tertiary care, as well as teaching and research) for admission in MSN degree

OR

Category - II

  • 12 Years schooling (Matric + FSc Pre Medical)
  • 04 Year Generic BSN Nursing Degree registered with PNC.
  • 01-year internship (bedside care)
  • 01 Year experience as RN after GBSN (clinical includes inpatient and outpatient in primary and tertiary care) (excluding 01-year Internship) for admission in MSN.
