Zero Hunger

Academia need to be able to demonstrate the ways it is contributing to address hunger, through achieving food security, improving the nutritional status and promoting the sustainability. Having no or limited access to nutritious and affordable food choices impacts the students of being food insecure and having low nutritional status.

At NUMS, well-designed academic programs regarding Nutrition and Dietetics is offered for the students to understand and address the need of creating more awareness regarding nutritious and affordable food choices and its impacts on human health. Each course of the program is in-line with the targets of SDGs. In addition to it, NUMS also keeps on conducting the awareness sessions regarding Sustainable food choices, healthy life style and its impacts on well-being and human health through its life-long learning programs.

On the other side, NUMS Environmental Stewardship Committee (NESC) is actively making efforts to reduce the campus waste to zero through its Zero Waste Project. Various awareness programs for staff and students are conducted by their team on continuous basis to make the campus waste-free and more clean and green.
