The meeting was conducted to review and discuss the following research projects/studies aimed at advancing wound care technology:

Fabrication and Characterization of Cellulose Based Tricomposite Dressing Containing Silver Particles and Clindamycin for Wound Healing

 

During the meeting, committee members deliberated on the scientific merit, ethical considerations, and animal welfare implications of both research projects.

The IACUC provided valuable feedback and recommendations to the researchers, emphasizing the importance of ethical practices and rigorous scientific methodologies in conducting animal-based studies. Suggestions were made to optimize experimental protocols, minimize animal discomfort, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

The purpose of the meeting was to review/approve 10x research studies/projects submitted by Department of Biological Sciences to office of IRB in NUMS ORIC.

The presentations were given by the presenters on their research studies/projects in presence of their supervisors. The presentations covered a wide range of topics pertaining to field of Biological Sciences. Researchers discussed their research methodologies, objectives, and expected outcomes.

After each presentation, the committee members provided comments and recommendations, especially concerning the ethical considerations, research methodology, data collection, potential risks to both human and animal participants (where applicable) and to improve the impact of research work in practical.

The comments and recommendations were recorded and are in process of sharing with researchers/supervisors, enabling them to make necessary revisions and improvements to their research proposals.
