The meeting agenda centered on reviewing six MPhil Psychology research projects/studies. The committee presented each project in detail, assessing its ethical compliance, research design, and overall feasibility. Where necessary, they provided suggestions for improvement, especially concerning participant recruitment strategies, sample size, selection criteria, and the clarity of research objectives.
The NUMS IRB & EC Sub-Committee approved the projects and provided specific feedback for revisions in areas requiring improvement.
They recorded and shared all comments and recommendations with the researchers and supervisors.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to review and provide ethical oversight for 5x MPhil Psychology research projects. All five projects were approved with minor modifications. The committee suggested rephrasing certain research titles, adjusting the sample sizes, and clarifying participant recruitment methods. Researchers were also asked to modify their data analysis techniques and provide additional justifications where needed.
All comments and recommendations were recorded and shared with the researchers and their supervisors for timely revisions and resubmission to the committee.
The 1st Full Bench Meeting of the NUMS Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee (IACUC) was held on 09 June 2023 at 1000 hours at the NUMS PWD Campus. Prof Dr. Aisha Mohyuddin, Dean MDS at NUMS, and Chairperson of IACUC, presided over the meeting.Following members attended the subject meeting;

The Chairperson welcomed all the committee members and expressed gratitude for their attendance. An introductory session provided an overview of the agenda and the importance of the IACUC's role in ensuring ethical treatment of animals in research.
Following the introductory session 5x research studies were presented by their Principal Investigators. The details of each study were thoroughly discussed, including the methodologies, ethical considerations, and expected outcomes.
Throughout the meeting, committee members examined each research proposal. Their insightful comments and recommendations focused on ethical considerations, research methodology, data collection, and potential risks to animal subjects involved.
Following the presentations, the recorded comments and recommendations were promptly shared with the respective researchers and supervisors to ensure that the researchers have the opportunity to address and incorporate the committee's insights, thereby refining and strengthening their research proposals.
