Higher Education Commission (HEC) introduced Tenure Track System (TTS) in 2002 to improve execution of advanced education in Pakistan through drawing in qualified individuals and improving performance of academic faculty of advanced education institutions especially in the public sector universities.
National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) with the aim to promote and achieve excellence in advanced health education and research, focuses on the implementation of Tenure Track System (TTS) for its Research & Teaching Faculty.
In order to transfer the existing NUMS Faculty on Tenure Track System as per criteria set by the Higher Education Commission, an introductory workshop was arranged by HR Directorate on Thursday, 21 February 2019. Vice Chancellor NUMS Lt Gen Syed Muhammad Imran Majeed, HI (M) graced the occasion and emphasized the importance of implementing Tenure Track System at NUMS for career growth of faculty members.
Col (R) M Javeed Sarwar, Additional Director HR was the speaker. Directors and faculty members attended the workshop. Mr. Muhammad Abid Iqbal Manager HR & Mr Shahzada Aqeel Younis, Manager ORIC were nominated as focal persons for the prompt implementation of Tenure Track System at NUMS.
At the end of workshop, Prof Syed Mehmood Raza, Provost QA/RD answered the queries of the faculty members.
