University Management Training Program (UMTP) Certificate Distribution Ceremony

National University of Medical Sciences initiated one of a kind University Management Trainee Program (UMTP) where 42 trainees were enrolled for a 6-month training program from March 1st 2018 to August 31st 2018. In the program the main emphasis was on improving the trainees’ competencies and experience in university management related skills.

After successful completion of UMTP, the UMTs were awarded with training certificates in a ceremony held on September 24th 2018 at PDC Hall, NUMS Secretariat. Mr. Walid Sajid, Assistant Manager (RD) and Ms. Sana Affandi Assistant Manager (SPD) conducted the certificate distribution ceremony. The event formally started with the recitation of Holy Quran by Mr. Noman Ahmed, Assistant Manager (Academics).

Director RD, Mr. Shaikh Muhammad Ali gave an overview of the program and said that conducting such a program and completing it as planned is a major achievement of NUMS.

To recall this journey’s spectacular moments Mr. Salman Sarwar, Assistant Manager (Procurement) showcased a short film whereas Mr. Gulam Musaddaq, Assistant Manager (ORIC) paid gratitude on behalf of the UMTs in a note.

Pro-VC NUMS, Maj. Gen. (Retd) Muhammad Aslam shared his words of wisdom and stressed upon the perseverance of dedication in youth by working even harder in their relevant fields.

Provost (QA & RD), Dr. Mehmood Raza enlightened the audience with his extensive International experience and advised UMTs that adopting the best practices is a path towards success.

In the end, Vice Chancellor NUMS, Lt. Gen. Syed M. Imran Majeed shared his valuable experiences with UMTs. He appreciated the efforts and dedication of UMTP core team, i.e. Ms. Mariam Mustafa, Assistant Director (RD), Ms. Anum Farooq, Manager (Multidisciplinary Science), Ms. Shavana S. Bangash, Assistant Manager (Multidisciplinary Science), and Ms. Zarmina Imtiaz, Assistant Manager (PR & Media). In his brief speech, he talked about the importance of youth and its role in development of our beloved homeland.

Ceremony was concluded by paying thanks to all Directorates of NUMS for their constant guidance and support to make this program a success.
