After successfully conducting PM&DC National Examination Board (NEB) exam for foreign medical and dental graduates for the past two years, National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) once again conducted Step-I of the same exam for the third time on Sunday, June 23, 2019. The exam was held simultaneously at Army Medical College, Rawalpindi and Pak-China Friendship Centre, Islamabad. All necessary administrative arrangements were made a day earlier; Saturday, June 22, 2019 at both venues, including provision of proper and adequate facilities to the students appearing in the exam. Furthermore, extensive security measures were ensured by NUMS at Pak-China Friendship Centre, in collaboration with ICT Police.
A total of 2497 candidates; 2429 medical and 25 dental graduates, appeared in the exam out of which arrangements for 1000 were made at the Army Medical College while the remaining 1497 were accommodated at Pak-China Friendship Centre, who were supervised by more than 350 administrative staff.
The Vice Chancellor of NUMS, Lt Gen Syed Muhammad Imran Majeed HI(M), Retd and acting President PM&DC Prof. Aamer Zaman Khan along with other senior officers visited the examination centers. NEB Step-II will tentatively take place on Sunday, July 28, 2019.
