The Asia-Pacific Dental Congress (APDC) is a global scientific forum with a rich professional history of sharing of knowledge, clinical skills and innovative technologies. it is held once annually with massive international participations. 41st APDC, was hosted by Korean Dental Association in Seoul Korea from 8-12 May’19 with a theme “Future, Innovation, Together” and was attended by 4200 international dentists. A faculty member from Army Dental Corps- Brig Azad Ali Azad, Professor/ Cl A instr& head department of Prosthodontics at Armed Forces Institute of Dentistry/ AM College Rawalpindi was invited as keynote speaker amongst 19 other international speakers at this esteemed forum. Staff offr presented his paper titled “Digital Dentistry -Today And Tomorrow” and moderated a session on digital dentistry along with our green flag. . He highlighted that dentistry is an ever advancing field, with changing knowledge base, adoption of newer technologies and clinical techniques. The state of the art technologies like CAD-CAM are relatively new in dentistry, still 3D printing is making its place in prosthodontics and seems comparable in many terms. Possible shift to 3D printing and emerging possibilities of 7D technology may offer a promising future for printing over conventional CADCAM. He also emphasized that updating our younger professionals with latest trends shall keep them well versed with emerging situations and possible use of these technologies in day to day dentistry in foreseeable future. Brig Azad Ali Azad was promoted as professor in year 2011 and has enormous professional contributions including FCPS training to approx 100 students, 8 international scientific paper presentations and 35 publications in indexed research journals. Naveed e shifa shares it national pride with the faculty member for representing Pakistan at this global form as a keynote speaker.
