Amcolians Debate and Literary Society (ADLS) hosted an event on Friday, 22nd December 2017 to commemorate and honour our great leader, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The annual Quaid Day 2017 was made possible under the kind supervision of Brig Khadijah Qamar and Col Fawad Mashhadi, and the guidance of final year cadets; Desaar Zehra, Nimra Klair, Hareem Azhar, Fahad Farooq, Muhammad Sher Dil and Ahmed Bilal.

The event was held at the Ayub Auditorium and was graced by the Chief Guest, Maj Gen Nigar Johar TI(M). Ali Hamza Awan and Maria Sabahat (39th MBBS) hosted the event, which started with recitation of the Holy Quran.

The highlight of the event was an original speech recording of the Quaid, which was empowered by a video edited by Zaryab Khan (40th MBBS). The rest of the event flowed in a seamless tableau depicting the life of the Quaid. Narrated by Amna Nusrat, Maria Sabahat, Ali Hamza and Ahmed Hussain, it threw light on the Quaid’s life, his character, his vision and mission, and his message to all of us. Saad Tauqir (39th MBBS) portrayed the character of Quaid-e-Azam along with other cadets who participated in the tableau and made it a success.

The tableau incorporated the melodious voices of Aymen Naeem, Amna Ghuman, Itrat Batool and Urooj Baig, and ended with a laudable presentation by Daniyal Raza (39th MBBS) on how the Quaid is viewed by famous personalities. This was followed by a passionate speech by Muhammad Sher Dil (38th MBBS) on the dreams of Quaid-e-Azam.Stage coordinators maintained the flawlessness of the event, while the media team handled interplay of sounds, videos and lights to enhance the audience’s experience.  Ahmed Hussain and Amna Nusrat (39th MBBS) summed up the event.
