A two-and-a-half-day event was organized by British Council on 2017April 24-25; It was a UK-Pakistan Partner’s event in Islamabad for ‘Achieving Impact & Investment in Collaborative Research’. The main highlights of this event were industry and academia collaborations, poster displays by partners, discussions highlighting the impact of research, and case study presentations by partners.
Vice Chancellor National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), Lt. Gen. Syed Muhammad Imran Majeed HI(M), chaired the session on ‘Building Nations: Impact of Higher Education on Economies’. In his address he focused on the significance of higher education in building and sustaining economies. Whereas Director Quality Assurance Dr. Noor Amna Malik – NUMS talked about Quality assurance in Higher Education and how quality teaching can and should be benchmarked.
Both speakers of NUMS were appreciated by the audience and further discussion in progress to the current one, was planned for future collaborative projects.
