Enhancement in Professional Integrated Communication (EPIC) program started on 24th May 2018 with an aim to enhance the capabilities of NUMS’ staff. Quality Assurance Directorate launched the program for Assistant Managers and equivalent to be the participants of the program.
The program ended on 12th September 2018 and the certificate distribution ceremony for the participants and facilitators was organised on the successful completion of EPIC program. Pro-VC NUMS, Maj. Gen. (Retd) Muhammad Aslam chaired the event, while Provost QA&RD, Directors of EPIC program and participants attended the ceremony.
Mr. Sohail Ahmad opened the session with formal introduction of the course followed by Ms. Aqsa Tahir, reciting the verses from the Holy Quran. Mr. Waqas Ahmad presented a welcome note for the honourable Chief Guest and rest of the participants.
In order to highlight the language skills acquired during the course, Mr. Waqas Ashraf and his group performed a panel discussion, which was highly appreciated by the audience. The panel discussion was followed by a presentation by Ms. Sobia Bilal, a co-facilitator of EPIC alongwith Dr. Erum Monis, where she took the participants down the memory lane of the course. She also shared some challenges faced during the course and thanked the management for facilitating the team and for their continuous support in making the course a success.
Additional Director HPE, Dr. Noreen Mirza, the lead resource person of the course gave a detailed presentation about the course and showed the comparison of the participant’s performance, which indicated improvement from an average pre-test score of 46% to 77% in their knowledge. She admired and appreciated the participation of all those who made it happen.
Director Quality Assurance, Ms. Noor Amna Malik congratulated the participants and the team on completing the course with flying colours. In the end, Pro-VC NUMS appreciated the initiative taken by QA Directorate and emphasized the significance of conducting continuous professional development courses at NUMS.
