The NUMS Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences (DSBS) recently launched its Bachelor of Science Program in Social Sciences of Health. The four-year program takes a multidisciplinary approach to understand and improve health using theoretical lens and practical knowledge offered by key social sciences disciplines like anthropology, sociology, psychology, philosophy, geography and economics. The NUMS Admission Test for the said program was held at Army Medical College on 14th February, 2019. A diverse set of candidates coming from different academic backgrounds representing all provinces of Pakistan appeared in the test. The one-hour test comprised of an MCQs portion of 20 minutes and a subjective portion of 40 minutes.
The Vice Chancellor NUMS, Lt. Gen. Syed Muhammad Imran Majeed, HI(M) and Principal Army Medical College, Maj. Gen. Saleem Ahmad Khan, HI(M) paid a visit to the examination venue. The Controller of Examinations, Brig (Retd) Muhammad Saifullah Butt briefed them on the professional and administrative arrangements made for the conduct of the test.
The test was followed by a panel interview at NUMS comprising of the senior faculty of the NUMS Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The merit list will be displayed next week. Classes are to commence in the last week of February 2019.
